  1. Pulse Echometric Method (PEM):

The PEM technique, also known as Pile Integrity Test (PIT), involves sending a short ultrasonic pulse into the pile material. Reflections from boundaries or defects in the pile are captured by a receiver, and by analyzing these signals, we can evaluate the material's integrity. It is a quick, simple, and cost-effective method ideal for initial assessments.

  1. Transient Response Method (TRM):

The TRM method is more detailed and involves measuring both the force applied to the pile (using an instrumented hammer) and the velocity of the pile’s response (measured by an accelerometer). The data gathered from TRM provides a thorough assessment of the pile's vibration length, diameter, and potential defects, including the interaction between the pile and soil.

  1. Ultrasonic Crosshole Testing (CSL):

This non-destructive method is used to analyze deep foundations like piles and drilled shafts. By measuring the time taken for an ultrasonic pulse to travel between two access tubes embedded in the concrete, CSL can detect variations in the pulse arrival time, which may indicate defects such as voids, inclusions, or honeycombing.
